Guitar Effect Patches
Originally these patches are made using Propellerhead Reason 9. However, I just confirmed these will also work in Reason 5 and above (since all I am using are native Reason 5 devices in this case). In this series of combinator patches I have been creating 7 different unique stomp box effect units. Mainly in Reason 6.5 and above you would use these as insert effects or send effects. While in older versions, you will need a combinator in front of the instrument itself to make them create any sounds. Since they are audio effect units, they only process the audio input.
Reactor Refill for Reason 5
Reactor Refill for Reason 5 is an experimental Refill to push existing devices in a total new direction. Most of the focus lies in using the Subtractor as the main synth (early launch title was "subtractor refill"). While time progressed, other instruments like "Thor", "Malstrom" and "NN-XT" are also used in this package.
EDM Bass patches
While doing about 4 parts about setting up EDM Bass patches in Reason, I have been collecting all the different patches I used in these video recordings and thrown all of them in one single zip file. So in this case you don't have to recreate them all one by one while following the videos (since in total it kind of lasts for almost 40 minutes). While originally, the recordings are done using Propellerhead Reason 9, I have been using mostly stock devices that were available since Propellerhead Reason 5. So from that angle, I could think they would even work in Reason 5 even (haven't confirmed this, yet tested this, but based on my experience they should work there too).
Key Flux Capacitor
The following Combinator patch for Propellerhead reason 5 I am providing is part of a video I recorded a few days back. The initial idea was to create a toggle set up, where you are able to enable different sounds by triggering different keys (on the midi keyboard). While the initial set up used toggle buttons on Thor, this had one minor draw back: the buttons are not velocity sensitive.
thor pwm driver
Here is a single thor patch I have made for you guys. I awill call this the thor AM PWM driver lead. Since it basically does those 2 things. First off all, there 2 times a phase mod oscillator in this patch. Which is there to create the initial sound. The AM PWM driver parts is in the second oscillator. The analog oscillator is set on square mode, and is there to make the patch dynamic. The dynamics is generated by the OSC2 - > OSC 1 AM controller. Since in this setup the OSC2 is not producing any ..
Thor squeek lead
The squeek lead is a Thor patch that kind of resembles an organ kind of sound. Yet this thing can become rather "high" pitched when playing on high octaves. So ideal will probably be playing this in the mid range of the keyboard. However, you can throw some 'squeeky' noize to your songs by playing some high octaves if you like (hence the name of the patch). Rotary 1 controls the LFO -> Phase modulation amount. This setting is ideal to let the PM turn into an automatic ...
FM Bass Subtractor Patch
Time for a small series of Subtractor patches. The idea here is pretty simple from where I am sitting. The idea I am going for is triggering an FM Envelope that goes rather fast. Using the right balance between the 2 oscillators, combined with a Low Pass Filter (which can be altered with the modwheel or after touch), you'll get some unique old skool type of FM Bass which can be compared to stuff used by the prodigy (since some of those were made with DX FM Synths... yeah... those ...

Reason Combinators Extended patch series
To celebrate the year 2013, we have been working on a series of combinator patches made with Reason 5. I know that some people were pretty disappointed to see that our latest dubstep combinator series only worked with Reason 6.5. To be farily honest, I was quite surprised to see that these latest patches didn't load up in Reason 5 (since no exclusive Reason 6.5 additions were made). To make up for this we have started with a 4 part series about the combinator in Reason. This is a tutorial series
Bass Patches for Reason
Here's a complete series of Bass Patches as I have promised. The following download will contain all the different Subtractor Bass patches I have been posting like a week or two. Next it will include the 64 malstrom bass patches. Also it will include 64 new Thor Bass patches. These patches where tweaked while playing a series of notes on C3. Additionally I have been working my ways in to 64 different Combinator Patches. I have put a lot of time and effort in these combinators. Since it is all about ...
Hydlide Synthesis Refill 2013
Download the Hydlide Synthesis Refill (1.6Mb) About this Refill Thank you for downloading your copy of the Hydlide Synthesis Refill for Propellerhead Reason. This refill has been made in the period of June 2013 till August 2013. Contains about 1000 patches. All these patches are compatible with Reason 4 and upwards. The synthesis refill is based on a lot of different ideas that came to live during song creations. While most of these songs have devices scattered around through out the rack, I felt the
