Nautilus Free patches

Published: 2017-03-10

It is Friday again. Here we go with a new set of patches. In this case I have been making a few patches for Nautilus for Propellerhead Reason. While I will admit, making a descent list of different patches for nautilus is quite a challenge. Since it is a bit linear on what this device can do. In most cases I use this device for bass line stuff, but then again I felt the need to drive the limitations in to different type of sounds. So there for I took the challenge to turn this device in to pads, organs, plucked leads and so on. While there are 29 patches in this series (which isn't that many). I guess the limitations just do so much from a device like this. Sure I could eventually re-use similar ideas.

Nautilus Patches

The following download contains the following 29 patches:
- 15 bass patches
- 10 combinator patches
- 3 pads
- 1 plucked

Here is the download button for these 29 patches:

Thank you Hydlide ! Most excellent. It is indeed a challenge to create a wide variety here.Still the device sounds awesome. Have a great weekend !

my biggest challenge with it lies that it is fixed as "saw", "square", "sine" pattern. While I do think phase is an awesome thing to play with it doesn't really sound diverse as I want it do to be. Also, I noticed that the Low Pass Filter (I am guessing it is a LP24 filter at this point) has an increase on its limitation. If there would be a variety on the filters then this would be more interesting on the lead department as well. The only real positive point I find with this device is the shaper. Since you can turn the sine in to an additional Square and drive those towards a new sound. Which I find quite interesting.

I def. agree about this, it could very much do with some more filter options. When playing with it, you kind of hit a brick wall after a while, where you imagine taking a specific sound to a certain direction, but then you can't get there with the means presented...If it had some CV controls, this would have been a different story. Still very cool to provide these patches. I love the pluck thingy, sounds neat with a few additional FX.

this is partially why I made the Thor > resphape type of setup. Since it does reshape the nautilus in a different type of sound.

It's stuff like that that makes reason still shine a bit. Add a combinator and the options just increased exponentially.
