Dyingstar free pads patches

Published: 2017-03-03

This evening I have been tinkering down some patches for Dyingstar Polysynth machine. This is the first set of 25 patches, where I have more in the pipeline. While I think there aren't that many patches for this device (which kind of makes sense at some point of view), I felt like throwing in my ideas regarding this IDT device. For this series I am providing 25 different pads which could fit perfect in terms of Ambience. While these patches are pretty straight forward since I am only using the native device Dyingstar Polysynth machine, I might later on move towards the combinator and build some more complex set ups later.

The initial idea I am going with this set up is creating patches that work in terms of different "vibes". That is where the 'prefix' of the file name comes in. These are defined as:

bright pads
calm pads
dark pads

The bright pads usually have a High Pass filter to them, while dark pads have a more darker tone to it using a Low Pass Filter at the end.

Meanwhile, I will also drop in the question: which device would you like to have additional patches for? Let me know in the comment section below.

You can download these patches here:

Hi Hydlide, awesome patches, thank you. I bought the RE and started to play, I am struggling at the moment with the UI which is pretty scaring and less intuitive compared to other synths….so any further help will be much appreciated

Awesome !! Just bought this device, and I must say, for 25 euro it sounds pretty epic. Thanks again for the advice on that. I'd love to see some more developed combinations with this device, so pls don't hold back the excellence ;)

Combinators will be build. I'll probably build a few 'engines' first and then expand on this universe while doing so. Would be quite fun!

Oh yeah, to answer your question: how about the Nautilus ? Got it in my rack for a while now and it is pure perfection for basses. Very neat device. Though I can only get so much out of it, because it is pretty limited. You could take it to another level right there :)

I just created a folder called "Nautilus". I'll see if I can create a wide variety on these. Since most of the presets that come with it are bass oriented. So I'll probably go with bass, leads, pads, effects and see how I can create a few segments for those.

That sounds perfect. Thanks ! Great job on those 25 pads btw, I'm skimming through them now.
